From Ambassadors to Icons: A New Pipeline for Creative Talent

At Mood Magazine, we don’t just cover the culture—we help build it. And that means creating new paths for emerging voices, new faces, and fresh energy to step forward. Today, we’re proud to introduce something that’s been growing quietly behind the scenes: The Mood Models.

This is not your average modeling program. It’s a platform. A pipeline. A stage. A statement.

From Ambassadors to Runways

The journey begins with outreach—what we call The Ambassador Phase. These are the changemakers and dreamers already making waves in their schools, circles, and cities. They’re photographers, stylists, singers, writers, dancers—some with no formal experience but all with undeniable presence. We invite them in not just for how they look, but for what they stand for.

From there, our Mood Ambassadors evolve into Mood Models, taking on runway training, creative direction, and mentorship through our collective network. Think of it as a boot camp for emerging brilliance—where posture meets performance, and fashion meets meaning.

More Than a Look: A Movement

Modeling, for us, is not about aesthetic alone. It’s about how a person shows up—on stage, on camera, in their community. Mood Models appear across all corners of our work:

  • On the runway at our live shows and seasonal productions
  • In our photo editorials across print and digital
  • On screen in our Mood TV and on-demand creative shows
  • In our podcast studios sharing their journeys, perspectives, and soundtracks
  • On stage as performers, hosts, dancers, and spoken-word artists
  • In the community—volunteering, organizing, co-curating events with the Harlem Collective and beyond

This is a chance for young people to step into their full selves. Not just to model for the camera—but to model what’s possible.

A Platform with Purpose

The Mood Models program is built on principles of representation, access, and creative justice. Our models come from all walks of life—many from underrepresented communities, including Black, Brown, queer, and immigrant voices who deserve not just visibility but agency.

We create pathways, not auditions. We build careers, not campaigns. We cultivate vision, not just content.

How to Join

The next cohort of Mood Models is already forming. If you—or someone you know—feels the call to stand up, step out, and speak loud through fashion, voice, movement, or presence, we want to hear from you.

Mood Models. Built for Now. Made for What’s Next.
