There are nights when New York City feels like it has a show for every mood. And right now, if your calendar allows, the theater is calling.
On Broadway, Whitney Leavitt, star of the reality show The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, is stepping into the sparkling shoes of Roxie Hart in Chicago. She’ll be dazzling audiences through March 15 — and yes, we all secretly love a little reality-star glamour on stage.

For something new, The Lost Boys takes us from the bright lights of Broadway to the dark corners of a California town overrun by vampires. The musical, based on the 1987 cult classic, follows a divorced mom and her sons as they navigate a world that’s as dangerous as it is thrilling. Previews start March 27 at the Palace Theater, and it promises plenty of bite.
Off Broadway, An Ark at The Shed pushes theater into the future — or maybe it’s the past, or somewhere in between. Using mixed reality, the play dives into the meaning of life, and death, in a way that’s as immersive as it is thought-provoking.
So whether you’re craving a familiar hit, a vampiric adventure, or a mind-bending journey into mixed reality, New York theater has a little magic waiting for everyone. And maybe, just maybe, it’s the perfect excuse to put on heels, grab a cocktail, and let the city remind you why it never stops inspiring.
