There’s a shift in the air — and it’s painted on the walls of Paris.

From the alley murals of Château Rouge to gallery openings in the Marais, Black artists are taking up space with color, memory, and movement. The work is not trendy — it’s ancestral.

Installations speak in Wolof and Kreyòl. Film screenings explore colonial trauma and joy. Fashion lines weave silk with storytelling. Even the Seine seems to move differently when Afro-descendant art takes the lead.

This is not a moment. It’s a return to presence.

Paris is blooming — and the roots are global.
