DAILY MESSAGE

One of the greatest distortions in spiritual life is the belief that closeness with God must be earned.

That if you pray enough, serve enough, or get it right enough, you will eventually become accepted.

But Jesus never lives from that assumption.

Before He performs anything publicly, He is already declared:

“This is My beloved Son.”

That declaration comes before miracles.

Before ministry.

Before achievement.

Sonship is not the reward for performance.

It is the foundation of identity.

Striving happens when identity is unclear.

Rest happens when identity is secure.

And Jesus moves through His life from rest—even when everything around Him is demanding output.

Pause and ask yourself: Are you living from approval, or trying to earn it?

Because those two places produce very different internal lives.

One produces anxiety.

The other produces stability.

When you are secure in the Father, you stop trying to prove yourself to Him.

And you start learning how to live from what He already said.

Sonship is not striving upward.

It is resting inward.

  2. What does striving look like in your relationship with God?
  3. What would change if you believed you are already fully accepted?
