At Mexican Italian Trattoria Piacere Mio, dining is more than a meal — it’s an immersive cultural experience. Each week, Piacere Mio transforms into a hub for food, culture, storytelling, and connection, bringing together entrepreneurs, creatives, and visitors from across the globe.

In partnership with Mood Magazine and the East Harlem Black Chamber of Commerce, our weekly events are upscale, social, and camera-ready, with opportunities to be featured on Mood TV, WHRL Mood Radio, and The Morning Show.

The entire week is anchored by Surviving Harlem, the original series filmed at Piacere Mio and streaming on Mood TV—capturing the real-time journey, vision, and voice behind the restaurant and its growing cultural movement.

Guests are encouraged to arrive dressed to impress, as every evening combines dining, performances, art, storytelling, and media visibility.

Monday — Discover World Cuisine

Opera & Italian Dining Experience

Mondays at Piacere Mio pair Italian cuisine with the elegance of live Italian arias performed by the Harlem Collective Opera Company. Guests enjoy a refined culinary experience while experiencing the artistry of Italian music, creating a sensory evening that blends culture, flavor, and sophistication.

Tuesday — Surviving Harlem + Mood Gallery & Nachos for Nurses

Surviving Harlem – Live Taping (5:00 PM):

Join us for Surviving Harlem, the podcast and TV show produced by Mood Media and streaming on Mood TV, starring Fausto Mora, founder and chef of Piacere Mio.

Each episode captures Fausto’s story — his journey as a Black entrepreneur, the creation of Piacere Mio, and the broader vision for East Harlem. Cinematic storytelling, behind-the-scenes access, and delicious food combine to make this taping an exclusive, must-attend event.

Guests don’t just watch the story—they become part of it, with moments captured for Mood TV, WHRL Mood Radio, and The Morning Show.

The Mood Gallery:

Explore rotating exhibitions of African American visual artists throughout the restaurant. Open through the month and promoted across Mood Magazine, Mood TV, and social media, it’s an art lover’s dream.

Nachos for Nurses:

Every Tuesday, Piacere Mio honors NYC nurses with Ultimate Nacho Platters and margarita specials, recognizing their service and providing a relaxing, fun, and delicious midweek experience.

As an extension of our commitment to those who serve, Piacere Mio proudly offers 15% off to all first responders—including police, fire, and nurses—when you present your credentials. It’s our way of saying thank you to the heroes who show up for our city every day.

Wednesday — Wine All You Want

Celebrating Black-Owned Wine & Entrepreneurship

Wednesdays feature Wine All You Want, highlighting Black-owned wines and vintners. Guests enjoy tastings paired with Piacere Mio’s signature dishes while networking with entrepreneurs, creatives, and professionals in an upscale, camera-ready social environment.

Select evenings are featured across Mood TV, extending the experience beyond the room and into a global audience.

Thursday — Dear Mom, I’m Gay

Live Storytelling & LGBTQ+ Celebration

Thursday nights bring the podcast Dear Mom, I’m Gay to life. Created by Jarvus Ricardo Hester, the series shares transformative stories of young men revealing their sexuality to their mothers — some with joyous reactions, some with challenges.

Dinner becomes a live storytelling experience, where guests connect, reflect, and celebrate LGBTQ+ voices in a stylish, media-ready setting. Highlights are filmed for Mood TV, Mood Magazine, and WHRL Mood Radio, offering participants and guests the chance to be part of a larger cultural narrative.

Sundays at Piacere Mio combine delicious brunch with uplifting gospel music, featuring the Harlem Boys Choir and Harlem Collective Opera Company.
