Mood Book Circle connects readers with Black-owned independent bookstores across the country—and brings the conversations happening inside those bookstores to Mood TV, WHRL Mood Radio, Stacks, and Mood Magazine.
This isn’t just a book club.
It’s a national cultural conversation.
OUR CURRENT PARTNERS
NATIONAL REACH. ROOTED IN COMMUNITY.
We’re proud to partner with 15 Black-owned bookstores and literary businesses across the country.
These are the places where Mood Book Circle comes alive.
Readers purchase the books, gather in the Circle, share their thoughts, and become part of professionally recorded conversations that can reach audiences nationwide.

15 PARTNERS. ONE NATIONAL CONVERSATION.

WANT TO JOIN THE CIRCLE?
We’re continuing to welcome Black-owned independent bookstores that want to participate in Mood Book Circle.
If your bookstore is ready to host readers, support the quarterly selections, and become part of the Mood media experience, we’d love to hear from you.

HOW YOU BECOME PART OF THE STORY
READ
Each quarter, Mood selects four books to read, discuss, and experience together.
GO TO THE BOOKSTORE
Purchase your book from a participating Black-owned bookstore and join the Circle in your community.
JOIN THE CIRCLE
Read passages. Ask questions. Share your perspective. Meet other readers.
Whenever possible, the author hosts the Circle. When the author isn’t available, the bookstore owner or designated host leads the conversation.
BE ON THE SHOW
Mood captures the Circle on video and audio.
Your conversation can become part of STACKS, Mood’s book and culture programming for television and radio.
You’ll need to sign a media release before participating in recorded content.
DARLING, DRESS TO IMPRESS.
You’re not just attending the Circle. You could be part of the show.
