“Where your attention goes, your energy flows.”

It’s a simple truth, but one that governs nearly everything around us — from politics to prayer, from social media to spiritual warfare. Attention is the purest form of energy. Whatever we give it to, we feed.

When you praise something, you give it life. But when you obsess over something — even in anger or outrage — you give it power.

We often think that negative attention works against a person or idea. But the universe doesn’t distinguish between positive and negative focus; it only registers energy and intention. Attention is amplification. To focus is to exalt. And that which is exalted, expands.

That’s why some leaders — in politics, entertainment, and even religion — have mastered the art of controlled chaos. They understand that if they can keep people talking, arguing, reposting, and reacting, they will remain at the center of collective thought. In the modern age, visibility is power. Outrage is marketing. Controversy is currency.

Even when people speak in opposition, they are still contributing to the energy field that sustains the very thing they wish to see disappear. Every time we repeat the name of chaos, we participate in its promotion.

It’s not that silence is always the answer — it’s that attention must be directed with discipline. The wise do not waste their light on the machinery of confusion. They choose to redirect it. They withdraw energy from the spectacle and invest it in what they want to grow: peace, art, purpose, truth.

The universe rewards focus. Whatever we magnify manifests.

If you magnify fear, you’ll see more reasons to be afraid.

If you magnify hope, you’ll see more reasons to believe.

If you magnify peace, the atmosphere will begin to still itself around you.

This is why movements rooted in light — like the Harlem Collective’s Stand for Peace campaign — are so important. They reclaim attention. They remind the world that peace is not a passive posture, but an active decision to refocus energy on creation instead of chaos.

So today, be mindful of your attention. It’s your most sacred resource.

Don’t give your energy to that which seeks only to consume it.

Don’t feed what you want to fade.

Redirect it toward what you want to flourish.

Because in this life, whatever you consistently acknowledge — you crown.

And what you crown, you empower.
