Harlem Collective is a resident artist program for emerging African American opera singers. Harlem’s Black Opera Company, also the home of Harlem Boys Choir.

His•\Tory performance features our Resident artist Jarvus Ricardo Hester a lyric tenor and Gregory Hopkins on piano. 

Jarvus is the founder of Harlem Collective and Gregory is the founder of Harlem opera theatre an organization that has been bringing you amazing opera experiences for over 20 years.

This performance of His•\Tory an operetta compiled from the works of three African American homosexual composers George Walker, Julius Eastman, & Michael Abels. A classical musical journey with video, open your mind and imagination and we go in time to explore their stories of love, truth, in life.
